Blake

Is currently 9 years old and in the 4th Grade!!! Oh man people...I am about to have a double digit child. So NOT cool if you ask me. He is doing really great with school and finally after a few years of Homschooling I think he has decided it is actually a pretty cool thing. Fourth grade hasn't been the easiest year they really increase the amount they learn this year. Now I know why they made the game Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. It really isn't easy to keep up with this stuff.  Blake has joined into Cub Scouts this year and is really looking forward to earning a lot of his Webelo patches.

Is currently 6 years old and doing his 1st grade year through Homeschooling. Though he tends to have trouble concentrating and being motivated with school he is doing good still. He is a very smart little man that's for sure!!!

This year we are learning lots of new things with school; addition, subtraction, fractions, time, measurement, beginning multiplication, handwriting, spelling, reading, basic of Gods world, major figures in American History, health, safety, and manners.
He has been doing swim lessons again this year and really enjoying it. He has learned how to do the dead mans float and is working on swimming with just the help of a kick board. Still a little bit hesitant about the deep end, but every time he does his jump in he gets more confident.

He has built up lots of good buddies through our homeschool group as well as those in his Sunday school class. Loves to have sleep overs and go over to friends houses for play dates. He is wanting a bit more freedom this year, which is hard to do because he is so young. Jake and I decided to move him downstairs as a start and it seems to be enough for him right now.

He is always full of a million pounds of energy and if you get him on a good day he wont stop talking...cracks us up (most of the time). We are contemplating putting him into soccer here soon to also help with the energy level. He has been bugging us for a while to play, so we might as well give it a try. I think he would be really good at it since he can run for hours already as it is.
