I have never been one to under estimate my Scion XB. Until we were getting ready to pack up for a weekend of camping at Grammy and Gramps river house for the annual Helmick Family Reunion. :)
We usually take the van because we bring all the camping gear, food, water gear, and bikes. Not to mention we usually always get stuff from the family to bring home as well. But with the prices of gas for the van we decided let's try doing it with the scion this year, especially because Jake just got a bike rack from St. Vincent de Pauls that he has been wanting to use.
As I was getting everything ready I started to doubt we would be able to fit everything and then 4 people and a dog into the car. :/
Jake got the roof rack on with the car carrier and we started loading. Well the scion proved to be the perfect car again! We got everything in the car and the bikes on the back...there was still some wiggle room for everyone too..it is a good thing our kids legs don't hang down into the food area because that was all crammed full as well. =)
We made it successfully out to the river house in Granet Falls without any issues! Goes to show you should never under estimate a Scion. As the kids get older it probably won't happen this way, but we will see when that time comes =) Its always nice to have a fun puzzle challenge.
