Well today was a big day in our small, but wonderful, family! Today is Jake's 30th Birthday. I can't believe we are entering the world of no longer being young adults. Crazy when you look back through the years and see how quickly they go.
The kids decided we really needed to do something special for Dad today. So after our P.E. class we went to Target and the kids picked out a nice gift for him. They also said we couldn't have a party without balloons so we got a six pack of the giant pounding balloons. Those are ALWAYS great fun.
We then stopped by DQ and got him his favorite Orea Ice Cream Cake!!! It is big enough to feed us for a week...good thing I work out three times a week. =)
We got home and were cleaning up when the kids decided they needed to make good birthday signs for Jake as well. So I wrote out the Happy Birthday for them the way they wanted and they went to town coloring them. I think we will be leaving those up for his big party this weekend. =)
Overall I think it was truly a GREAT day for a guy who's turning 30!!!
