NW Trek Trip

Today I took the kids to Eatonville to visit the NW Trek. We went on an hour long tram ride and got to see a lot of the NW animals in their more natural habitat. We were able to see Bison, Carabao, Elk, Deer, Geese, Long Horned Sheep, Mountain Goats, Ducks, and Birds. We then later walked around but he trails and were able to see more slightly dangerous NW animals. Kids and I had a blast today and can wait to go back during a different season to see the difference in the animals.

Blake's Webelos Ceremony

Hi Family, its Blake!
Yesterday I had my awards ceremony and I got my Webelos Badge. Mom got to draw on my face to show all the parts of being a Webelo. I got to draw on moms nose after to show that she will always be with me. I also earned my handyman and engineer pins. For handyman I made a stool, did chores to help around the house, fixed the toilet and declog the sink drains. For my engineer pin I drew a floor plan of the house, we made a pulley system called a block and tackle, and drew blue prints and built bridges.
One of my boy scout friends graduated from Webelos up to boy scouts, so he gets to move up.
I'll keep you all up to date on the badges that I am earning.

Fun while Dads gone

Monday:
Just dropped Dad off at the airport and we needed a bathroom. Where is the best place between the airport and home you ask? Krispy Kremes of course!!!

Ended the night with a movie night.

Tuesday:
We headed to the science center for the day for hands on learning.

Blake's 10th Birthday

So yesterday I became the mother to a double digit young man! Oh man...nothing makes you feel old and sad  like when your baby hits 10. Makes you realize they are getting real close to being out of your house. I need to step up my Mommy game like NOW!!!
So yesterday we started out the morning by give Blake his new Mountain Bike and he LOVED it. He can't wait to go out on the trails with Dad.
Then began the party prep. We decorated the house, got all the games set up, prepared all the food, and then waited. While we waited Jake and Ayden decided to bless us with some music. They had a good little sing off for Blake. It was a very amusing 10 minutes. Thank goodness kids started showing up. It was getting a little crazy between them.
All the boys showed up and we got to work with the party. So glad the weather held out for us so we could do all our games and be outside.
Blake has some great buddies and I think at the end of the day had a great and memorable 10th birthday.
